Urgent Notice: Availity Essentials Disruption Impacting Claims & Eligibility Services

We want to inform you of a current disruption involving one of the core service providers for eligibility verification — Availity Essentials.

Incident Summary:
As of 11:05 AM ET on May 1, 2025, Availity began experiencing performance issues affecting real-time systems and file processing across its Essentials and Essentials Pro platforms. This incident impacts all payers and multiple lines of business, including Institutional and Professional.

Key Impacts Include:
• Delays or disruptions in eligibility verifications
• Sluggish performance across Availity’s clearinghouse, APIs, EDI, and B2B services
Please note: Availity has confirmed that no security breach is associated with this incident. They have also cleared any existing file backlogs.
